After that long catch up post I've already failed again. I went shopping last night and then completely forgot to take a picture when I got home!
But I took one for tonight! My new shoes came in from ModCloth. I really want this is the Tiffany Blue they have, but they are out of stock, waiting on a reorder. I saw the red ones and figured I can use some red shoes and it would be nice to try out sizing since it says they run big but they have no 9.5. So I got the red in a 9. They fit ok. Wearable, walkable. But I think for the blue ones I'll get the 10. They will be too big I am sure, but I think it would be easier to add a pad in the front or back then squeeze my foot into a shoe I really want to keep around for awhile.

Picture Day 52
Today I spent a huge portion of my time updating my seemingly (but not) forgotten blog. So of courses today's picture is of me updating!
Now I can work on getting back on track since I've gotten the worst out of the way!

Huge Catch Up - Pictures Day 34-51
Well, to say I am behind is a massive understatement. I'm not very good at this daily blogging thing even with a reason and someone to bug me about it! I think part of the problem is that once you get a day or two behind it feels impossible to do all those posts at once. Well impossible or not, here is a very picture heavy post to get myself up to date.
Picture Day 34 - November 3

This night I was so tired and already in bed that I couldn't think of anything else but to take a picture of my pillow with my cell phone. Not exactly a good picture, but it kept me from missing a day...fo now at least!
Picture Day 35 - November 4

The Tardis Journal is finished! It's not exactly what I thought it would end up as. But it's a nice little journal and I carry it with me in case I find something interesting to write about or stick in the journal!
Picture Day 36 - November 5

This was a lovely Saturday where I spent the entire day in bed surfing Pinterest, Facebook, and chatting to K. I enjoy this days...and probably have them far too often!
Picture Day 37 - November 6

This is the basis of my next craft project...cards. That's all I can say though, it may or may not be a potential gift (if it turns out ok).
Picture Day 38 - November 7

My mom bought some kind of bowl at JC Pennys to replace one Daphne knocked off and broke earlier in the year. Apparently someone had been given it as a wedding gift and returned it, leaving the tag and bow inside the box! I hope Bobbie never comes over hoping to be served from that bowl!
Picture Day 39 - November 8

My phone randomly, for no apparently reason, deleted all my alarms I had set up. These are the only two a really need though, so that's all I replaced. It's a good thing I checked before going to sleep!
Picture Day 40 - November 9

First ever attempt at fondant. Used the cake pan that K got me for my birthday with the mini three tier cakes. Its not bad for a first try...and the three tier cakes came out so adorable!
Picture Day 41 - November 10
A peak at the inside of the cake. Used food coloring in the batter so they'd be more interesting :)
Picture Day 42 - November 10
Fair play to you Verizon. I wondered who this letter I appeared to get was from. Was hand addressed and in a simple, plain envelope...no indication it was from a business until I opened it. Unfortunately for you Verizon, I have no interest in anything from you as I plan to leave and already have a cell phone provider.
Picture Day 43 - November 11
I was so mad. This picture should have shown 11:11a 11/11/11. But because of silly work and having to be on a phone call at that time I completely missed it. And of course, I had to be at work at 7:45 the next morning so I couldn't stay up late to catch the 11:11pm version :(
Picture Day 44 - November 12
After having to be at work early on a Saturday morning to pretty much be done by 9:30 but have to stand around until noon I came home and caught up on my DVR shows. That was nice :)
Picture Day 45 - November 13
I dragged my mom to see Like Crazy, a film about an American and a Brit who fall in love and have to deal with the complications of a long distance relationship. I thought I was bawl the whole time. I didn't. It wasn't anything like K and I's relationship...we are so much stronger, more connected, and more committed to each other than these characters and I know we wouldn't put each other through what they did.
Picture Day 46 - November 14
I was so sleepy by the time I remembered to take a picture I couldn't even keep my eyes open!
Picture Day 47 - November 15
Annual Chili Cook Off! Was actually a pretty good success. Glad it all worked out :)
Picture Day 48 - November 16
I forgot to take a picture :( I'm a failure
Picture Day 49 - November 17
Not only did I forget, but I forgot two days in a row! Guess I'll have to tack on a couple at the end to make up for it ;)
Picture Day 50 - November 18
Had a lovely team retreat with the ladies in the office with a nice dinner and conversation. And had my first ever facial. Nice to be pampered once in awhile. Everyone said I was glowing after the fact :)
Picture Day 51 - November 19
Went out to lunch with my mom and her work friends. I tagged along because they were going to Pujols' restaurant and I had never been. It was pretty tasty. However, they talked for four hours! It was the longest lunch ever and really cut into my K time. Thankfully I got him the rest of the evening and all day Sunday :)

Picture Day 33
Today I got the base coat of paint on my tardis journal. I wanted to do the "weathering" too but it was getting too late and not drying fast enough.
I really liked the look of the decoupaged paper towel on the journal I was basing the technique on...but now that I've done it I'm not sure how I feel about it. But as I said when I started, no matter if it's crap because the journal was just sitting around anyway, this is just a chance to get crafty.
Also the smell of the acrylic paint reminds me of childhood summers at Vacation Bible School and having craft time...we did some painting in our day haha

Picture Day 32
I had every intention of working on the tardis journal more...but I found myself surfing Pinterest and watching tv. Ahh well.
This lovely afghan was crocheted by my Nana. Now that it is getting colder I've added two additional layers to my covers. This afghan and a fleece blanket. Tonight I'm a bit warm, but last night it was perfect!
Also it is officially November which means I get to see K next month!

Picture Day 31
Initially I had planned to have some Halloween themed picture today...then I started getting crafty and started my journal. This is what I have so far:
I'm still debating trying to faux leather look I found in one place. You decoupage a paper towel...which is appealing to seal these pieces of cardboard, but as its barely raised enough I'm afraid i'll "fill in" the not raised parts.

Picture Day 27-30
Wow I've been extremely lazy and behind with my posting. The good news is I've been keeping up with my picture taking!
Picture Day 27
I had a bag of M&Ms left over and was thinking it would be good to make some M&M cookies. So I did some googling and found a recipe that was supposed to have chewy ripply cookies. Well mine did not come out as such, so I'm not sure what I did wrong. I got flat, crispy, huge cookies. They spread out so much and mostly overcooked. Even when I shorted the time...I got closer to chewy and less crispy but they still flattened out and were huge and thin.
I made these as I was watching World Series Game 6. By the time I had them all made we were down by two and I was pretty sure we were going to lose. So I told my mom good thing I made them because I think I'll need them.
Then the game got really exciting. David Freese saved the day and we went into extra innings and went on the win it forcing a Game 7! Seriously one of the most exciting games I've watched in my life!
Picture Day 28
Happy World Series Game 7! And in an amazing shock to Sports Analysts everywhere (but not Cardinal Nation) the Cardinals won and earned their 11th Championship title! Such an exciting evening! Really great to witness a second championship in my lifetime. So to celebrate I took a picture of me and Fredbird (the mascot).
Picture Day 29
I've been seeing this no heat curl thing float around Pinterest and thought I'd give it a shot. Basically you take slightly damp but mostly dry hair and put it in a very high ponytail on the top of your head. Then you take a sock with the toes cut off and roll it into a loop (looks a little like a donut). You put the pony tail through the middle of the sock donut and pull it to the ends. You arrange the ends of the ponytail around the sock donut and then roll it down. This creates a bun like I have here. So you sleep on it overnight and then in the morning you take it down and separate and get some nice curls/waves. Mine didn't turn out exactly like the people I saw trying it, but my hair is shorter and doesn't curl like at all so I wasn't surprised. I want to try it again but maybe put some product in my hair to hold it together and cut down on frizz. Was interesting for sure...and if I ever need a big bun I can do that now!
Picture Day 30
So again with seeing something floating around Pinterest, I saw this women with a really cool travel journal and I wanted to do that, but as I was looking at her stuff I saw this cool Stargate journal and was like oh my gosh I can do River Song's Journal from Doctor Who! So I searched around and found this forum post http://tardisbuilders.com/index.php?topic=2514.0?24b792f0 and am using his template but customizing it for the journal I had laying around. (Thankfully I have Illustrator and could adjust the size). So after deciding to do it I set off for Michael's where I got a bunch of supplies like paint and this craft knife. Well, much to my disappointment when I went to open it the blade looked funny, so I looked at it in more light and as you can see it is quite rusted. It's like that on both sides. So I need to take it back before I can get started on my project. But I'm hoping to do that today so I can work on it tonight! Can't wait to see the final product...hopefully I can pull it together to look nice!
