Picture Day 1

Hello, hello. Well I am Alex and this is where I will be posting my pictures for the Project 365 I have agreed to do. My boyfriend (K) and I have decided that we need to be taking more pictures and wanted to challenge ourselves. So, we are taking and posting one picture everyday for an entire year. I have never been a successful blogger despite the best intentions, but I'm going to give this a try!

This is my camera. I figured (after the suggestion from K and the fact that I didn't like any of the other pictures I took) it would be a good way to start. She's a Nikon D7000 and was my biggest purchase earlier in the year when I was going through some retail therapy after finding out that I didn't get into my dream grad program. In reality it was overdue for me to get a new camera anyway. I had sold/traded my first dslr (a Canon Rebel Xti) to a friend and was wanting to upgrade for awhile.

I'm going to try my very, very best to take as many of these pictures with this camera as possible because I want to improve as a amateur photographer and what better way than practice, right?
