Today is my birthday. I had a lovely day with a home-cooked breakfast from my mom, a nice long chat with K, seeing The Addams Family musical at the Fox Theatre, and Ted Drewes Frozen Custard for an after-show dessert. I had already gotten my gift from my mom a week or so ago (I'm sure I'll post it at some point in the next few days). What I did get though was...
Birthday cards from not only my mom, but also my dog and cat! (Cheesy? Yes, but that's how my family rolls). The one from the dog (far right in case you weren't sure) even had dogs barking to the tune of "Happy Birthday" which of course made Kai (my dog) bark.
Now of course the birthday fun must come to an end as it is almost time for me to go to bed. Though according to a couple of tracking numbers my gift(s) from K should be here tomorrow as well as a Bakerella's book 'Cake Pops'. Then in another day or so I should be getting these Americolor Gourmet Writers so I can finish my trial run of the cake pops I want to make for an upcoming work baby shower. So considering I still have some packages to open, perhaps the birthday fun doesn't have to be over just yet.
