Picture Day 8

Today my aunt and grandma arrived for a visit. It's good to see them as it's often far too long between visits. I had promised baked goods and so of course had to deliver. I've been trying too cook more...I'm even toying with the idea of doing a food blog. Or maybe a general blog with a food emphasis? I haven't decided yet. I have a few potential posts in the bag (by that I mean pictures and recipes, no actual blogging typed up).

I knew I wanted to make something pumpkin. I also knew I had seen tons of pumpkin everything floating around on Pinterest and all the food blogs I have bookmarked. So I looked around and settled on a Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Pie. It basically looked like a Tollhouse Pie but with pumpkin puree so I figured I could handle it. I was a bit concerned when the texture and thickness was nothing like her first picture...but it tasted good so I must have done something right!
