Picture Day 15

It was difficult to come up with a picture again today. I'm assuming if I went more places and did more things it would be easier...sitting in the same room night after night is somewhat limiting.

This picture came about because I was sitting here thinking how you can tell its fall because it was already pitch black and just barely 8 o'clock. It was almost there even by 7! That got me to thinking about how I was a little jealous earlier in the month when K posted some long exposure pictures of the busy London road behind his work building one evening. The I thought well I can do one too. It may not be as cool as his but I still think its kind of neat...you can see a little of my window screen, if my tripod wasn't still in someone else's possession I probably would have gone outside for it.

The Exif data as pulled by Flickr is:

Camera Nikon D7000
Exposure 30
Aperture f/4.0
Focal Length 28 mm
Focal Length 28.3 mm
ISO Speed 2000
Exposure Bias 0 EV

In hindsight...if I had been thinking more, I would have lowered the ISO and would have stopped down. ISO because of the grain (though in a normal not blown up view its not too bad)...and f-stop because it would be nice if the image was a little sharper. But live and learn and experiment right? That's what this blog is about...so next time I'll be more patient and try a few more things.

I would also like to get out into the country somewhere where there would be less light pollution from the city and more stars. I've always thought that would be pretty cool.
